Fans of luxury watches could soon buy a Frederique Constant timepiece for their children.
Luxury watch brand Frederique Constant has announced plans for a new range of designer timepieces specifically for young men aged between 12 and 16. The brand's junior collection will be based around its existing Quartz and Automatic ranges - with prices starting from €550 (£478).
"I am convinced that fathers would like to give their sons a watch beyond the plastic stuff that is on the market today," says Peter Stas, chief executive officer of Frederique Constant.
Each Frederique Constant Junior timepiece will come with a personal engraving on the back of the face - which may make them perfect gifts for a special occasion.
To advertise the range, the Swiss watch manufacturer will run a series of commercials featuring young Olympic hopefuls Sebastian and Alex Schneiter.
Frederique Constant this week unveiled its new ladies' watch - the Maxime Manufacture Lady - which it described as "elegant and technical".
