German luxury watchmaker Glashütte Original strengthened its presence in Hong Kong with the official opening of its first boutique there. The boutique located at Pak Sha Road boasts the full range of Glashütte Original's collections, including the latest novelties from Baselworld 2009, the Senator Chronometer and the Senator Perpetual Calendar.
Of course, the boutique also has the requisite VIP room, this one with a well equipped bar. The highlight though must be the watchmaker who is permanently stationed at this store and who performs the servicing functions.
On opening day, Dieter Pachner, VP Sales of Glashütte Original and Leo Poon, VP North Asia of Glashütte Original, played their parts in the ribbon cutting ceremony, alongside special guests Frank Burbach, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong and Macau, and actress Eva Huang Sheng Yi.
The opening of the boutique in Hong Kong is part of a global roll-out of a new design concept for the German watch manufacture. With its carefully selected materials, stylish furniture and display cabinets as well as its contemporary overall appearance, the boutique reflects the values the manufacture stands for: technical perfection, modern design, and timeless elegance.
