Swiss watch and jewelry manufacture Piaget recently partnered with their retailer agent Cortina to present an elegant 30th anniversary exhibition of the iconic Piaget Polo watch at Singapore's Paragon shopping center. The event was hosted by Thomas Bouillonec, General Manager of Piaget Southeast Asia, and Cortina's regional manager Jeremy Lim, who kicked off the exhibit with a short product presentation.
With champagne in hand, guests mingled in a specially cordoned-off section of the Paragon facility. The distinctly curved walls of the exhibition area presented an overhead view matching the shape of Piaget's newest Polo timepiece--the Polo Forty-Five.
Elegantly attired models were on hand to demonstrate a range of Piaget Polo timepieces and select white gold and diamond jewelry pieces. The superb watches worn by the models included the chic white gold ladies' Polo with a diamond bezel, the prestigious Polo Tourbillon Relatif watch, and the dynamic new Polo Forty-Five Flyback Chronograph GMT watch. This last model showcases a subtly updated Polo design evoking a fine combination of elegance and sport. Movement is the entirely new in-house Piaget 880P caliber, featuring a self-winding mechanism, twin spring barrels for a 50-hour power reserve, and a column-wheel governed chronograph mechanism.
The Piaget Polo watch first debuted in 1979, garnering immediate acclaim from celebrities, the wealthy, and other elite individuals. In the decades since, the Polo has endured to become a design icon for the house of Piaget. It also continues to be a virtual synonym for a truly high-end luxury timepiece.
